I provide high quality guitar
repairs and very precise setups that will transform the playability
of your guitar, at a very reasonable cost and with a fast
turnaround.
I started playing and repairing guitars over 30
years ago when I got my first guitar. It was a smashed up old
Jedson, which I had to repair to be able play it. I then bought a
Squier Strat, pulled the frets out, changed the fingerboard radius
and re-fretted it.
My precision engineering background has given me
the ability to work to extremely high standards and very fine
tolerances, and has been instrumental in doing my guitar repairs
and setups. I have machinery in my workshop that is important for
my guitar repair work, as well as manufacturing custom and obsolete
guitar parts.
I cater for anyone from a teenager on a tight
budget, right through to the pro musician who demands that extra
attention to detail. I have many loyal and valued customers, and in
the past have been the guitar tech for two music shops.

Custom made parts
Tremolo stabilizers, Floyd Rose
tremolo back stops / stoppers, Gibson and Epiphone Les Paul locking
tailpiece bolts, straplocks, brass tremolo blocks, one off and

Standard Electric Setup
Clean and oil fingerboard, re-string,
truss rod adjustment, cut nut, set action and intonation, adjust
pickup height.
With Floyd Rose
As above with tremolo setup and
locking nut checked, (Nut isn't cut. Can be machined to optimum
height. See Prices)
Pro-Setup
As Standard Setup plus either re-seat high
frets or remove any high spots before a very light fret dress and
polish. This method levels all the frets with minimal dressing so there is no unnecessary metal removal.
Acoustic Setup
Clean and oil fingerboard, adjust
truss rod, cut nut, precisely machine saddle and re-string.
A general check is included with all setups with a check for
scratchy pots, loose jack sockets, machine heads etc. |
